We are a fast growing national Housing Cooperative based in Nairobi.
We intend to fill the position(s) below on a 2 year renewable contract.

1) Research and Development Officer
Job Grade 3

 

Basic Professional Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management/Finance/Social Science Degree
  • CPA/CS Part 2/ACCA Graduate
  • Perfect Knowledge on use of Ms Excel and other computer data analysis tools
  • At least 3 years’ experience in research and development preferably in finance/ investment set up.
  • Perfect Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough financial knowledge
Roles for the Research & Development Officer
  • Development and the execution of the Housing annual research plan.
  • In Charge of handling Market Segmentation Analysis, finding members opinion through questionnaires on preferred projects, services and products
  • Report to senior management on company product technical issues as well as technical developments within the market.
  • Close monitoring of each Product Performance and the market needs and gaps and making periodical reports to management for decision making
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Interviewing members of the Sacco
  • Writing/editing draft questionnaires and reports
  • Writing research specifications
  • Develop research work plans according to project needs.
  • Design/prepare research plans, questionnaires, surveys and reports as necessary.
  • Produce both written and oral reports for stakeholders and disseminate research findings
  • Participate in product design and development
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by supervisor from time to time
2) Project and Investment Manager
Job Grade 4

Basic Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management/Finance
  • CPA K Graduate / ACCA Graduate
  • At least 4 years’ experience in SACCO housing activities or Investment Projects.
  • Ability to grow the business
  • Ability to initiate and create revenue generating activities.
  • Thorough financial and resource management skills.
Key Responsibilities / Job Description
  • Manage the investment process including all conversations with early investors, due diligence, KYC (Know Your Customer) and legal documents
  • In charge of Safe Custody of all Housing Documentation
  • Implement evaluation of program activities by developing a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) framework and report evaluation findings.
  • Coordinate the preparation for the Housing Annual General Meeting
  • Identify and evaluate the risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action to control the risks.
  • Create and network with viable partnerships with other stakeholders.
  • Take part in preparation, co-ordination and control of budget, cash flow projections and actual cash analysis.
  • Lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the directors administer and review all financial plan
  • In Charge of the Housing Procurement Processes under the  guidance of the Housing Management.
  • Keep the board informed of the Housing Status and Activities through regular reports, policy recommendations and provisions of facts to facilitate board decisions.
  • Any other duty as delegated by the Supervisor
3) Marketing Officer 
Job Grade 3

Basic Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing / Public Relations
  • At least four years’ experience in SACCO Housing Set up or financial or investment field.
  • Membership to Marketing Society of Kenya or CIM Qualification is an added advantage
  • Ability to grow business and excellent  Public Relations Skills
Key Responsibilities / Job Description

New Business Development and Market Research

  • Recruit new housing members and retain the existing ones.
  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
  • Present an image that mirrors that of the housing company
  • Represent the company in networking events, trade fairs and conferences with an aim of growing business
  • Establishment of a suitable sales strategy
  • Participate in establishing, developing and maintaining business relationships with partners and customers.
  • Sales: overseeing and ensuring the achievement of sales targets by developing the sales and service structure in the various market segments
  • Strategic business planning: driving the company’s commercial success & strategic growth and establishment of the brand by keeping a hands-on working attitude
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in Housing product patronage
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased Housing business
  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging Housing network
  • Screens potential Housing business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
Business Development Planning and Client Retention
  • Locates or proposes potential Housing business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities
  • Attend Housing industry functions, such as Ushirika, events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on the Housing market and creative trends.
  • Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new Housing services, products, and distribution channels.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in Housing product patronage.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the Housing’s unique member recruitment propositions and differentiators.
